Angie Marino—Teacher and Founder of Writing Wonders——Available year round: W-11am-1pm, 3:45-5:45pm, TH-9am and 1:30pm (Eastern)

Angie received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish from DePaul University in Chicago in 2000 and has been observing young writers and language learners ever since. As a result, she has been able to clarify common confusions, patterns of error, and the frustrations that children have when trying to write.

Since starting Writing Wonders in 2013, she has learned how to make writing fun for students and set them on a path to confident writing! Under her instruction, students feel motivated, supported, and proud of their work. She would be delighted to work with your child!

When Angie’s not teaching writing, she’s gardening with her four children, cooking with her husband, catching up with friends, or running with her new dog, Nash. Angie is available year round. Click below to schedule a class!

Daniel Recchia—High School Essay and College Prep Writing Teacher—Available year round: T/TH 7-9pm (Eastern)

Daniel graduated from Fredonia State University in New York in 2007. He received a bachelor’s in business administration while playing on the baseball team for 4 years. Upon graduation, he became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer. He began his training career in 2008, where he taught and trained student athletes. In 2009, life circumstances led him to grow in his faith, which birthed a love for reading and writing in him.

At that point, he enrolled in a master’s program in theology. Since his business degree didn’t require a tremendous amount of writing, he felt intimidated and lacked confidence when it came to writing for his master’s degree. In fact, he got an F on the first paper that he wrote. Daniel is very proud of the steps he took following that first failed grade to in turn getting an A on his final paper, and ultimately earning his master’s degree. This experience created a passion in him to empower young writers in written word. He is thrilled to be teaching with Writing Wonders where he can encourage high school students to grow in their writing and guide them to value their unique writing voice and creativity. He would love to work with your high school student! Daniel is available to teach T/TH evenings from 7-9pm EST. Click below to schedule a class!
