This February, 2023, my 7 year old daughter and I celebrated her writing and reading. She completed her 3rd writing folder for 1st Grade and read her 100th book. So, we went out to lunch and took a trip to Barnes and Noble for the first time. She is my 3rd child who has completed the strategies outlined in KIDS WIN AT WRITING. My fourth child, age 4 1/2 years old joined our celebration for reading 100 CVC words! She too is learning to read by writing.
